In the Sixties and Seventies, many of us were introduced to heavy metal music via Iron Butterfly and Led Zeppelin. Heavy metal music lovers did not, however, abandon metal for golf. They often do both.
Metal heads stay metal heads even as they move to retirement age and beyond. Remember Alice Cooper? “No More Mr. Nice Guy”?

You probably do not know that Finland is the current epicenter of heavy metal music. A good friend of mine who is a music publisher consulted with the Finnish Ministry of Culture for a number of years. He passed on this little tidbit about this latest development in heavy metal culture.
I’m not sure how any of this applies to senior living other than as an example of how it’s good to remember that there is much more to successful life enrichment activities than weekly Bingo games.
